A-net is always doing things to make the game even and fair to every player, thats all we are asking for here, destroy a black market system by adding one simple item and even out pre.

Well well well....

I have submitted a ticket to support over this very issue (yesterday infact).

Let me explain, that I have several perm-pre characters. I am one of the "haves" instead of the "have-nots". I am sick of the people that glitched in post-sear gear, and the elitist attitudes many (not all) show. Anybody that protests an expert salvage kit available from the pre-searing merchants is trying to protect their exploit.

I aquired my salvaged runes from an amazingly generous player, considering a salvage is going for 60K-300K. I didn't have to opportunity to use the guild hall glitch (it was around before I started playing).

Don't believe me on the prices?

http://www.presearing.com/

You'll have to register to see the pre-searing auction section in the forum. Sick.

Here's my report submitted to Support:

I have, perhaps a more unusual condition to report. I also have some questions.

You may be aware of, there is a thriving underground economy in the Pre-searing area of Prophecies, Guild Wars. This "Black Market" is made up of individuals that took advantage of an exploit some time ago that allowed travel to guild halls from Pre-searing.

This gave these people access to max weapons, expert salvage kits, and items that were just not availble to the average player.

With the Legendary Protector of Ascalon title introduced into the game, there is quite a number of people left out from this advantage (who are now interested in playing in pre-searing). Those that wish to aquire these "post-searing" items must pay incredible prices. Here is a link to a website that specializes in the elitist market:

http://presearing.com/

(You will have to register to see the pre-searing auction section)

There you will find people extorting insane amounts of in game gold for items that should be available to the average player. Some of the examples are, 75K per use from an expert salvage kit, 10s of thousands for salavage runes, insignias, mods, etc. There is even a superior salvage kit selling for over 2 million!

Now I know it is not reasonable to try and correct the situation, by removing these items from the game. What I would like to see is a very simple solution. If an expert salvage kit were to be introduced to the pre-searing merchants, it would level the playing field.

The "average" player could make use of the minor runes, insignias, weapon mods, etc. that they find in the North Lands (where the charr are).

I have an example, with screenshots of one of these people trying to offer me max gold items from post-sear. He wanted a mini Kunnvang dragon from my CE Factions, that I have in pre-searing. Please see the attached files.

In closing, I would like to discuss the responses from Support on this issue in the public Guild Wars fan forums, specifically Guildwars Guru.

Thank you so much for your time.
Let me say again, the only people that oppose the average player in pre-searing having access to the same game content (everybody paid the same price for the game, right?), is to protect their own interests. The greed of some people is sickening.

I will be starting a new thread once I get some responses from support.

Getting somewhere with support (I think).

It's like pulling teeth. First I get the cookie-cutter response telling my ticket is closed, and thanking me for reporting a player! lol

They didn't even read it.

Second response, they missed the entire idea, and thought I was reporting the website for a violation. I'm thinking they just skim the support ticket, and pick up a few key words.

Currently, I'm waiting for a reponse from the request to actually address the question. Seems the policy is ignore the first complaint, kinda look the second time, and just maybe....maybe read the third complaint. lol

I would also suggest people interested in getting this changed, to send in a question/request to the support people. Squeaky wheel gets the grease, in GW.

I went a little deeper into the auction section of that site and found this great deel, http://presearing.com/index.php?opti...5&topic=2232.0 LOL, If you can't read it, it's for a 54 use superior salvage in pre, The seller wants 4 million game gold for it. And they talk about other sales in the same thread.

This is such a rediculous situation that I can't beleave there is any good reason to not fix it.

It gets even worse..some of these glitched items have been sold for real world currency. With insignias the disadvantage non-cheating people have becomes even more profound.

Officially Arenanet has stated that these glitched items will not be deleted, nor will they ban people for owning such items. However in my opinion this disadvantage is severe if only for people having become instant milionaires just by using a single cheat, they have a steady source of income as most likely there's still hundreds of expert salvages left in pre. This 'free' income alone is a severe disadvantage to ''normal'' players as single salvages get sold for 50 plat PRE gold (or more)..which in turn gets sold for atleast double that amount of POST gold. A single 100 use kit alone will provide the owner with 10 million gold! The kind of free and steady income this cheat provides can only be matched by people who either bot gold or buy gold online.
How the hell is that fair?

/signed..absolutely!

btw theres nothing wrong with presearing.com itself. It's sole purpose is for providing the presearing community with a means of communicating with eachother over the internet.

I Have the full response from Support on this issue. They have forwarded the situation to the development team (so they say).

They also suggested opening a discussion on the fan forms. I will be posting a topic fairly soon.

No Thom,

I have a thread going with an open support ticket:

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10169760

Please add your input! It's more of a disscussion thread, than a suggestion thread.

Why bother? It's not like there's anything so challenging over there that you actually even really NEED salvage kits...

I mean, I'm not against it, but then again, I'm not for it either, considering that it's a waste of time...

Lets Get Kracking
I want to be able to salvage my pre searing drops.
It would be nice to salvage a +10 health or what ever legal drops in
pre and apply it to another item to improve it thats not asking much.

Please add the Expert Salvage kit,

oh and here is a link to more on this subject.

The thread on incgamers already has 13 pages and ended up in being made a poll in this thread
However, as the poll was created by someone who's opposed to the introduction the poll itself is very thinly supported argumentatively and the results tend to get scewed as the OP ''forgot'' to include the link to the thread that spawned the poll

Dispite me asking several times to include the link neither the OP nor any mods will add the link to the original thread..unfortunately.

Rumor has it that A-net added a gold charr salvage drop with 5 salvages in it to pre searing.

Can anyone confirm this?
